From August 18 to 20, the National Finals of the 20th National Undergraduate Smart Car Competition were held at Hangzhou Dianzi University. Competing intensely against over 700 teams from 294 universities nationwide, multiple teams from our school's Industrial Training Intelligent Car Club achieved outstanding results. The "Big Rooster Team" (Da Gong Ji), guided by teachers Chen Dexin and Zhao Chunfeng from the Engineering Training Center, won the National Grand Prize in the Complete Model Group. In addition, the club secured one National First Prize, two National Second Prizes, six First Prizes in the East China Region, and two Second Prizes in the East China Region.
The specific award details are as follows:

Since the competition themes were released earlier this year, with the care and support of the Academic Affairs Office, the Engineering Training Center, and relevant colleges, the Industrial Training Intelligent Car Club actively organized publicity, team formation, and training. The guiding teachers fully dedicated themselves to pre-competition instruction, while the students conducted earnest research and made thorough preparations. During the intense competition schedule, the teams responded flexibly to unexpected situations, timely troubleshot hardware issues, adjusted software programs, and performed at their absolute best.
The Industrial Training Intelligent Car Club was officially established in 2019. It has continued to develop and accumulate rich competition experience despite student turnover, changes in competition rules, and increasing technical difficulty. By focusing on academic competitions to drive recruitment and training, the club not only wins honors for the school but also stimulates students' interest and potential in scientific research, effectively enhancing their comprehensive application skills and capabilities in engineering practice and innovation.
